As  Board of Education Trustees, Michael and Claudia provide oversight — not day-to-day management. They work to ensure Ridgefield’s schools are transparent, fiscally sound, and focused on student success. Under their oversight , Ridgefield has achieved:

📘 Academic Excellence

  • Expanded the RMHS STEM Program (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)

  • Approved STEM Academies

  • Created and implemented an Adult ESL Program to support multilingual families

  • Launched the RMHS Business Academy with real-world apprenticeships

  • Offered 16 AP courses—with students earning college credit scores (3+)

  • Created a dual-enrollment program with Bergen Community College—students graduate with both a high school diploma and Associate's Degree

  • Over 95% of graduates pursue higher education

  • Helped establish the Ridgefield–Cliffside Park Football Co-Op—now division champions

  • Introduced a 1:1 Chromebook Program for every student

  • Advocated for $1 million State Pilot Program for school-based mentoring, benefiting Ridgefield and Bergen County districts

  • Delivered a balanced, stable budget every year—no academic cuts

  • Secured over $2 million in state and federal grants without raising taxes
